You might have noticed that our website had a bit of a face lift since the last time we posted, almost 2 months ago. But that is not all that has happened. That's why we want to share with you the exciting new direction and content we have planned for our website.
1. New Employee
First of all we have a new full-time employee at Simply EcoNomads, and you probably already know him: Adam! Adam has always been really close to our project and has helped me a lot in the past to bring it to life, but he also had a different business online which was talking up a lot of his time. Now that is not the case anymore, he is full-time dedicate to our cause and he integrated his business into our project.

2. New Topic
Which bring me to the second point: we have reshuffled the topics of our blog and added a brand new one. That's right, we are going to start taking about Business, specifically about:
Budgeting: How to manage travelling costs & expenses, through frugal living
Online Business: Guidance & directions on how to build a successful online business
Mindfulness: How to reach your goals, stay motivated & achieve fulfilment
These are topics a lot of our readers have asked us about, and we thought it would be a great addition to show how we are sustaining our lifestyle on the road. We will upload new content very soon.

3. Transportation
We have slightly changed our means of travel. As I mentioned in the recent blog post I'm Back, I was experiencing a lot of stress around the transportation and visa process, because travelling by land is not always easy or possible. For example: for us to be able to cross Russia, Mongolia and China by land meant that while in Russia we had to apply for the Mongolian visa and while in Mongolia we had to apply for the Chinese visa. This was due to the fact that you cannot apply more than 1 month prior to visiting the country. But that also meant we wouldn't have our passport on us because the embassy holds it during the visa process, and we wouldn't be able to travel around the country. So it created a lot of logistical problems and it completely ruined the fun of travelling.
So we have decided that we will occasionally, but very rarely, move by plane when absolutely necessary. That doesn't change the fact that we will still pick the least polluting company and offset the Co2 of the trip, keeping the footprint to zero.

4. Patreon
I want to apologise to our Patreons who have faithfully followed us for the last 3 months without getting much in return!
This is soon going to change as we will introduce a Patreon exclusive series called Simply Business. In this series we will share informative and rich value content about how to stay motivated and how to build a successful online business. Adam will explain all the steps, tips, hacks and tangible proof of our earnings, costs and expenses, and demonstrate how you can fund your full-time travel lifestyle. This is a goldmine for digital nomads! So stay tuned and head to our Patreon page.

5. Nomad Meetups
We want to create opportunities to meet our fans and our great followers. That's why we will organise meetup events in the biggest cities we will visit so we can meet in person and spend an afternoon becoming great friends. Here you can share with us your story, your eco business, your sustainable project, which we will then share with our online community. You can also ask us questions regarding our project, and get exclusive and personal tips.
We will let you know soon when our first Nomad Meetup will be and hope to see you there!

6. Monthly Profile
Starting from the month of August we will post once a month a company profile dedicated to a great sustainable initiative. We want to celebrate the people who are changing our world for the better and share their amazing efforts. Hopefully this will inspire everyone and demonstrate that there are already so many great human beings who are doing all they can to save the Planet. It will also provide alternatives to mainstream companies, and anyone can be part of the solution by sharing and supporting these great individuals.
Do you know of a sustainable company/initiative that you would like to see in one of the monthly profiles? Then send us an email or comment below and we will surely take your suggestion on board!

7. Interviews
Last but not least, we have started collecting interviews from some of the amazing people we have met on the road, to help promote their efforts and their projects. We hope to bring awareness to their story and their journey and promote their great initiatives.
If you have a sustainable project you would like to share with our audience then reach out! We would love to interview you too!
